Abstract:
Provided is a thermoelectric power generation device that enhances power generation efficiency. This thermoelectric power generation device (1A) is a thermoelectric power generation device equipped with a thermoelectric element (2) having one side thereof provided to a heating unit (3) and the other side thereof provided to a cooling unit (4), and is equipped with a heat transmission pipe (6) disposed in a flow passage (5) through which a high temperature fluid flows. The heating unit (3) and the heat transmission pipe (6) are respectively provided with an internal space (9a, 9b), the spaces being in communication with each other. The internal space (9a) of the heating unit (3) and the internal space (9b) of the heat transmission pipe (6) form a circulation path (9) through which a heat medium is circulated. The outlet (6b) of the heat transmission pipe (6), through which the heat medium is discharged, is provided at a higher position than the inlet (6a) of the heat transmission pipe (6), through which the heat medium enters. The inlet (6a) of the heat transmission pipe (6) is provided at a lower position than the bottommost end of the thermoelectric element (2). The heat transmission pipe (6) uses the heat of the high temperature fluid to vaporize the heat medium flowing through the circulation path (9), and the heating unit (3) condenses the vaporized heat medium.
