Abstract:
Provided are a thermophysical property measurement device and thermophysical property measurement method capable of simply obtaining highly accurate absolute thermoelectric power and thermal conductivity. A thermophysical property measurement device (50) is provided with a DC/AC voltage generator (100) for selectively applying an AC voltage or DC voltages having different polarities to a metal sample (4) that has been given a temperature gradient through the connection of the metal sample (4) between a metal block of temperature (T1) and a metal block of temperature (T2), a thermocouple (5) for measuring the temperature change in the center of the metal sample (4) when an AC voltage is applied by the DC/AC voltage generator (100) and the temperature change in the center of the metal sample (4) when DC voltages having different polarities are applied, and a calculation unit (54) for using the above two temperature changes measured using the thermocouple (5) to calculate the absolute thermoelectric power and thermal conductivity of the metal sample (4).
