Title:
THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITION USING SHOCHU LEES AS THE STARTING MATERIAL, METHOD OF PRODUCING FILM COMPRISING THE COMPOSITION AND FILM COMPRISING THE COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/130041
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
It is intended to provide a production method whereby protein molecular weight
causing defects in film formation can be lowered, thermoplasticity can be imparted
to shochu (distilled spirit) lees and thus a film having excellent qualities
can be produced and a film produced by this method, to thereby effectively utilize
the shochu lees that has been regarded as an industrial waste and contribute
to resource saving and environmental preservation. A method of producing a thermoplastic
composition using shochu lees as the starting material which comprises
hydrolyzing the shochu lees with a protease, filtering it, adding a plasticizer
to the filtered slurry containing a large amount of the solid matters originating
in the shochu lees, and hydrolyzing cellulose under supercritical or
subcritical ethanol conditions followed by dehydration; a method of producing
a film which comprises blending this thermoplastic composition with a biodegradable
resin; and a film produced by blending the thermoplastic composition using shochu
lees as the starting material with a biodegradable resin and molding the blend.
