Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film that has a dielectric constant in the thickness direction, which is suitable for millimeter wave radar base materials. This thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film is formed from a thermoplastic polymer that is capable of forming an optically anisotropic melt phase (hereinafter referred to as a thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer), and is characterized in that: the dielectric constant thereof in the thickness direction at 23°C at 20 GHz is 2.5-3.2; and the heat distortion temperature thereof is 180-320°C. This thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film may have a dielectric constant at 23°C at 15 GHz of 2.6-3.7 both in one direction in the film plane and in another direction that is perpendicular to the one direction.
