Abstract:
A thermoplastic polyurethane resin elastomer obtained by reacting an isocyanate compound (I), an aliphatic alcohol (II) having a number average molecular weight of less than 300 as calculated from the hydroxyl value and having only a hydroxyl group as the functional group therefor, and a polyol (III) having a number average molecular weight of 300-10,000 as calculated from the hydroxyl value. The sum of the content of aliphatic isocyanate compound containing two isocyanate groups and the content of alicyclic isocyanate compound containing two isocyanate groups, in the isocyanate compound (I), is at least 90 mol%. The amount aliphatic diol having no more than 12 carbon atoms that is included in the aliphatic alcohol (II) is at least 90 mol%. The amount of copolymerized polycarbonate diol (IIIA) including repeating unit (A) and repeating unit (B) that is contained in the polyol (III) is at least 80 mol%. The equivalent ratio between the hydroxyl equivalent (EIII) of the polyol (III): the isocyanate equivalent (EI) of the isocyanate compound (I): the hydroxyl equivalent (EII) of the aliphatic alcohol (II) is 1.0:2.0-5.5:1.0-4.5 (where 0.95 ≤ (EI) / ((EII) + (EIII)) ≤ 1.05). The number average molecular weight of the copolymerized polycarbonate diol (IIIA) is 500-5,000.
