Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermoplastic resin fiber which exhibits high stretch properties to an extent that has been unknown heretofore while using a very commonly used resin material. With a view to providing a production method for said fiber and a fabric using said fiber, this thermoplastic resin fiber has a fracture elongation of at least 50% and comprises a thermoplastic resin that contains a polyolefin resin, a polyamide resin, and a compatibilizer, wherein the compatibilizer is a modified elastomer having a group that is reactive to the polyamide resin. This fabric is obtained by using said thermoplastic resin fiber. This method comprises a step for spinning a thermoplastic resin composition that is obtained by melting and kneading a polyolefin resin and a melted and kneaded product of a polyamide resin and a modified elastomer.
