Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a coating liquid for battery separators which exhibits favorable coating properties even when forming a thin coating layer thereof. The present invention pertains to a thickener which is to be used in a coating liquid for battery separators, and contains fibrous cellulose having a fiber width of 1,000nm or less, and having an average degree of polymerization of less than 400.
