Abstract:
The display device body of a thin display device according to the present invention includes a display unit (1a) and an exterior case (5). The exterior case houses the display unit, and the upper and lower corner areas thereof are held by cushioning materials (22, 23) when the exterior case is housed in a container. The back cabinet (7) of the exterior case is attached to the display unit by screwing the peripheral edges thereof so as to cover the back side of the display unit. The back cabinet is fixed to the frame (1b) of the display unit with a screwing section (7a) between a cushioning material (22) for holding the upper corner area and a cushioning material (23) for holding the lower corner area, thereby increasing the strength of the display device body against the stress working to deform the display device body.
