Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to provide a thin film having a long light-emitting life span, and an organic electroluminescence element.
The above problem is solved by the thin film containing a light-emitting metallic complex and a host, the light-emitting metallic complex being represented by general formula (1) and satisfying formula (1), and the host being: a nonmetallic organic compound demonstrating phosphorescent light-emission at room temperature; a compound demonstrating heat activated-type delayed fluorescence; or a compound exhibiting an inverse intersystem crossing phenomenon between a singlet excitation state demonstrating a level higher than the lowest singlet excitation state, and a triplet excitation state demonstrating a level higher than the lowest triplet excitation state.
