Abstract:
Disclosed is a thin-film solar cell having further improved power generation characteristics. The thin-film solar cell (10) has a configuration in which a transparent insulating substrate (1), a transparent electrode layer (2), a photoelectric conversion unit (3), a transparent conductive oxide layer (A) (4) composed mainly of zinc oxide, and a rear electrode (5), are positioned in this sequence from the light incidence side. The transparent conductive oxide layer (A) (4) comprises at least two layers: a transparent conductive oxide layer (B) containing conductive impurities composed mainly of silicon, and a transparent conductive oxide layer (C) containing conductive impurities composed mainly of an element other than silicon (aluminum or the like). The thickness of the transparent conductive oxide layer (B) accounts for 30% to 80% of the thickness of the transparent conductive oxide layer (A).
