This thin paper packaging body comprises: a plurality of sheets of thin paper laminated to each other; and a packaging bag in which the sheets of thin paper are accommodated. The packaging bag has an upper surface part, a lower surface part facing the upper surface part in a vertical direction, a lateral surface part connecting the upper surface part and the lower surface part to each other, and a first slit formed at a central part of the upper surface part and extending in a first direction. The upper surface part has a first upper surface half part and a second upper surface half part facing each other across the first slit in a second direction crossing the first direction. One of the first upper surface half-part and the second upper surface half part has an upper surface outside surface part and an upper surface inside surface part facing each other in the vertical direction. One end in the second direction of the upper surface outside surface part is connected to the first slit, and the other end in the second direction of the upper surface outside surface part is a free end. One end in the second direction of the upper surface inside surface part is a free end, and the other end in the second direction of the upper surface inside surface part is connected to a part of the lateral surface part of the packaging bag.
