Abstract:
[Problem] To provide thin spectacles that can be applied not only to spectacles provided with a front section holding substantially circular or elliptical lenses but also to spectacles provided with a front section holding lenses of any shape. [Solution] Spectacles in which temples (11, 11) are foldably attached on both sides of a front section (10) holding left and right lenses (12, 12) and in which folding the temples causes the temples to be folded along the upper or lower edge of the front section on the same plane as the front section, wherein support parts (13, 13) for foldably supporting the temples are provided on both sides of the front section, and axes (11a) around which the temples turn are provided at an angle with respect to an axial line orthogonal to a baseline (C) linking the centers of the left and right lenses supported by the front section. It is also possible to provide the support parts (13) so as to extend parallel to the baseline (C) from the front section (10) and provide the axes (11a) at an angle with respect to the support parts.
