Abstract:
A thin strip production process employing continuous casting and continuous rolling. The process sequentially comprises continuous casting, rough rolling (5), induction heating (6), finish rolling (3), laminar cooling (4), high-speed shearing (1), and thin strip coiling. The process is characterized by further comprising performing in-line heating between the continuous casting and the rough rolling (5), and simultaneously heating a wide surface, a narrow surface and corners of a casting blank during the in-line heating. The thin strip production line employing continuous casting and rolling reduces the requirements for rough rolling equipment, improves the efficiency of the rough rolling (5), improves the uniformity of finished thin strips, reduces the out-of-tolerance percentage, improves the thickness stability of the finished thin strips, and accordingly reduces rolling-induced cracks of the thin strips.
