The present invention is provided with a rod-shape assembly (3) comprising a drive motor (2) which includes a horizontal rotation shaft (14), a shaft member (16) which is coupled to the rotation shaft (14) via an Oldham's coupling, and a tap (5) which is attached to a distal end portion of the shaft member (16). The present invention is provided with a support body (4) which supports the rod-shape assembly (3) such that the rod-shape assembly (3) is movable in the axial direction of the rotation shaft (14). The present invention is provided with a centering posture control means (first and second contact members 56, 57) which is supported by the support body (4) so as to be able to come in contact with and to separate from an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member (16) and restricts movement of the shaft member (16) in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction. The present invention is provided with a drive control device which reversely rotates the rotation shaft (14) to operate the Oldham's coupling, thereby carrying out centering between a threaded hole of a workpiece and the tap (5).　The present invention can provide a thread cleaning module which is not restricted by the direction in which the threaded hole is oriented and can clean the thread from the horizontal direction.
