Abstract:
A thread management device 1 comprises: a first securing part 10a for securing a main bobbin 5a on which a thread T supplied to a knitting machine 3 is wound; a second securing part 10b for securing a replenishment bobbin 5b on which thread T for replenishment is wound; a first pullout part for pulling out the thread T wound on the replenishment bobbin 5b from the starting end; a second pullout part for pulling out the thread T wound on the main bobbin 5a from the ending end; a thread connection part for connecting the first pullout thread pulled out by the first pullout part with the second pullout thread pulled out by the second pullout part; and an operation control unit that controls the operation of the first pullout part and the second pullout part so that the first pullout thread and the second pullout thread intersect in the working region of the thread connection part.
