Abstract:
A thread production device (1) produces a carbon nanotube (CNT) thread (Y2) from a CNT fiber group (F) while running same, the device being provided with: a first twisting winding device (6) which produces a CNT intermediate thread (Y1) by twisting the CNT fiber group (F) while a first tension is applied to the CNT fiber group (F), and which winds the CNT intermediate thread (Y1); and a second twisting winding device (5) which produces the CNT thread (Y2) by twisting the CNT intermediate thread (Y1) while a second tension that is higher than the first tension is applied to the CNT intermediate thread (Y1) that was pulled out of the first twisting winding device (6), and which winds the CNT thread (Y2).
