The present invention relates to a thread rolling tap for making female threads by plastically working the material, and more specifically, to a thread rolling tap comprising a threads part having threads along the outer surface, a chamfer part tapering into a curved shape, and a parallel part extending from the chamfer part, wherein the chamfer part comprises a guide part, which is formed contiguously in the front of the chamfer part and has a predetermined width, and which guides the thread rolling tap into a through-hole in a material by making contact with the surface of the through-hole; the guide part prevents the warping phenomena that can occur in the early stage of the entry by making contact with the surface of the through-hole earlier than the threads of the chamfer part and positioning the chamfer part without a separating distance from the surface of the through-hole when the threads of the chamfer part are making contact therewith; and the crest profile and the root profile are each designed differently as required by the respective particularities of the crest and the flank. Thus, the lifespan of the thread rolling tap is lengthened and high quality female threads are formed thereby.
