Abstract:
This automatic winder is provided with a thread-feeding part (15), a take-up part (17), a thread-splicing device (37), a thread capture/guidance device (30), and a unit controller. The take-up part (17) takes up thread (14) from the thread-feeding part (15) so as to form a package (22). If the thread (14) comes apart between the thread-feeding part (15) and the take-up part (17), the thread-splicing device (37) splices the upper thread and the lower thread together. The thread capture/guidance device (30) has a package-side suction part (33) that is designed so as to be able to move between a capture position in which the upper thread is captured from the package (22) and a guidance position in which the captured upper thread is guided to the thread-splicing device (37). The unit controller controls the movement of the package-side suction part (33). During the package (22) take-up operation, the unit controller puts the package-side suction part (33) on standby in a standby position that is closer to the capture position than the guidance position.
