Abstract:
Provided is a threaded pipe joint with improved sealing, compressive resistance and galling resistance. The present invention is a threaded pipe joint, wherein: the outer diameter of the element tube section of a pin member (3) is 168.3 mm or less; the outer circumferential surface (30) of the nose section of the pin member (3) when viewing an axial cross-section of the pin member (3) is an outwardly convex curved line, and for said convex curved line, a composite R curved line, which is obtained by successively connecting multiple outwardly convex arcs with differing radii of curvature R to the generatrix of a cylindrical section adjacent to a male threaded section, has a curved line shape such that the radii of curvature R of the arcs increase with increasing distance from the male threaded section (7) and the tangents on the arc connection points coincide with those of the arcs of the counterpart connector; the inner circumferential surface of a box member (1) is a tapered surface (20) that interferes with the outer circumferential surface (30) of the nose section of the pin member (3) when joined with the pin member (3); and the length (L) of the nose section (8) of the pin member (3) is 5 mm to less than 20 mm.
