Abstract:
A three-dimensional cell shape evaluation method according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: a measurement step (S1) for irradiating, with laser light, one or a plurality of target cells to be evaluated, and detecting interference light between light passing through the target cells and light passing around the target cells to acquire hologram data; a phase image creation step (S2) for performing an image reconstruction process based on the hologram data to create a phase image of the target cells; a differential image creation step (S5) for obtaining a spatial differential value for each pixel from the phase image and creating a differential image; and an evaluation step (S7 to S9) for evaluating the shapes of the target cells, on the basis of a calculation processing result for the differential value of each pixel in the differential image. This makes it possible to easily evaluate the local three-dimensional shape of a cell.
