Abstract:
A three-dimensional data encoding method for encoding a plurality of three-dimensional points, wherein: attribute information for one or more second three-dimensional points in the vicinity of a first three-dimensional point is used to calculate and assign, as a predicted value, a new predicted value for calculating attribute information for the first three-dimensional point in at least one prediction mode among two or more prediction modes (S4361); one prediction mode is selected among the two or more prediction modes (S4362); a prediction residual, which is the difference between the attribute information for the first three-dimensional point and the one selected prediction mode, is calculated (S4363); and a bit stream that includes the one prediction mode and the prediction residual is generated (S4364).
