A three-dimensional display device (3) according to the present invention comprises a display panel (5) and an optical element (6). The display panel (5) has a display surface (51) that extends in a first direction corresponding to a parallax direction when a user views an image, extends in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and curves around the center axis which extends in the second direction. The display surface (51) includes a plurality of subpixels arrayed in a grid pattern along the second direction and a direction corresponding to the first direction for a display surface that has a cross-section forming an arc along a surface perpendicular to the second direction. The optical elements (6) are disposed along a curved surface and define the beam direction of image light emitted from the subpixels for each of a plurality of strip-like regions extending in a prescribed direction along the curved surface. An eye-box, where a user places the eye to observe an image, is located in the first direction at less than or equal to a distance of rsinθ from the center of an arc where r represents the diameter of the arc, θ represents an angle formed between a line connecting the end in the first direction of the display panel (5) to the center of the arc and a line connecting the center in the first direction of the display panel (5) to the center of the arc when viewed along the second direction.
