Title:
THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT MANUFACTURED BY STEREOLITHOGRAPHY AND TO WHICH CYTOCOMPATIBILITY PROCESS IS APPLIED
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/050604
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a three-dimensional structure wherein a three-dimensional object which has been manufactured by stereolithography is detoxified to impart cytocompatibility. Cytocompatibility refers to the properties whereby a material is not toxic with respect to cells and a material does not adversely affect the survival activities of cells. A three-dimensional object formed by stereolithography is exposed to a UV lamp for one hour to promote hardening. The three-dimensional object undergoes a heating process for at least six hours at 175°C or higher. In this case, it is acceptable for the temperature of the heating process to exceed the glass transition temperature, which is an indicator of the thermal softening temperature of the material being used. The subject of this invention is a three-dimensional object having a microstructure formed by stereolithography. With a minute structural body, the problem of deformation due to self-weight during a heating process is reduced due to the rule of size. Consequently, there is almost no change in size of a three-dimensional object obtained by means of this invention before/after thermal processing.
