Abstract:
In a depth map estimation step, for each pair of control points that define the skeleton of a prescribed object, multiple positions of the second control point of the pair relative to the first control point of the pair are configured provisionally on an image, and for each of the multiple provisionally configured relative positions, the relative depth of the second control point relative to that of the first control point is estimated across the entire image assuming that the first control point is present at each position on the image. In a position detection step, the aforementioned image is used to detect the two-dimensional position of multiple control points on the image for each object. In a pose estimation step, the three-dimensional pose is estimated for each object by calculating the relative three-dimensional positions of multiple control points on the basis of the relative depths and the two-dimensional position.
