Title:
THREE-DIMENSIONAL SHAPE MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL ENGRAVER USING THE MEASUREMENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1999/017076
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A three-dimensional shape measurement device which is commercially available easily from view points of a cost and the operation ease and, further, can realize the measurement of a three-dimensional shape which enables the interpolation of the missing region of a three-dimensional shape bordering on a background such as the three-dimensional shape of a human hair part. A human face which is a measurement object (101) is made to come closer to a backboard (201) and its three-dimensional shape is measured by a detection head (102), etc. A shape calculation unit (110) extracts a missing region which is surrounded by a background region composed of pixels with background data values corresponding to the backboard (201) and a measurement object effective region composed of pixels with effective data values corresponding to the measurement object (101) and which is composed of pixels with ineffective data values from the three-dimensional shape data and interpolates the pixels constituting the extracted missing region. As a result, the missing region of the human hair part which is the measurement object (101) can be restored.
