Title:
THREE-PHASE PERMANENT MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/125069
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The cogging torque in a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor can be very considerably reduced. In a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor in which the fraction 2N/3P, where the number of magnetic poles of the rotor (3) is P and the number of grooves of the stator (2) is N, is not an integer, the tooth width in the circumferential direction of the teeth (5) of the stator (2) facing the surface of the magnetic poles of the rotor (3) through a gap is made to be substantially 1/2 of the groove pitch of the stator (2). Also, in a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor of the outer rotor type, the cross section in the radial direction of the teeth (5) of the aforementioned stator (2) is made to have a larger tooth root section compared with the tooth tip section, or to be substantially equal from the tooth tip section to the tooth root section: in this way, it becomes possible to mount a coil unit, with the coil pre-coiled thereon, from the tooth tip section.
