Title:
THREE-PHASE RELUCTANCE MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1991/004602
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A three-phase reluctance motor in which a rotor (1) is constituted to receive the magnetic attractive force in one direction at all times without cancelling the magnetic attractive force, in order to decrease mechanical vibration. Moreover, compared with the conventional motors, this motor has fewer magnetic poles (16a, ---) and salient poles (1a, ---), and thus it becomes a small-sized low-output motor. Three three-phase reluctance motors are accommodated in the same housing, the magnetic attractive forces in the radial direction of one reluctance motor at the center and of two reluctance motors on both sides are balanced in the opposite directions relative to each other, so that a predetermined attractive force is left. Therefore, the magnetic attractive forces do not push the bearings, and the life is not shortened. Pairs of magnetic poles (16a, ---) of each of the phases are excited to form N and S poles, so that the electric motor exhibits a large output torque and a high efficiency.
