Abstract:
Disclosed is a throw-away rotary tool that can suppress variations in tool lifespan and machining accuracy. The throw-away rotary tool is provided with: at least two groove sections (13b, 13c) that are recessed into the inner walls (13a) of an upright-arrangement section (13); and at least two protrusions (26, 27) that protrude from a raised linking section (23) and that can fit with and disengage from the groove sections (13b, 13c). As the groove sections (13b, 13c) are formed asymmetrically with respect to the central axis (O), and the protrusions (26, 27) are formed asymmetrically with respect to the central axis (O), the raised linking section (23) can be linked with the upright-arrangement section (13) in a single direction. As a result: variations in lip height and waggle can be suppressed; bending, increased machined hole diameter, and the like are prevented when boring holes; and variations in machining accuracy can be suppressed. Also, variations in tool lifespan can be suppressed because lip height and waggle can be suppressed.
