Abstract:
Disclosed is a throw-away rotary tool that can increase productivity and has excellent properties relating to the task of attaching and the task of detaching a cutting head to/from a body. In a convex section (24a) formed as a portion of the outer wall (24) of a raised linking section (23), a spiral angle and spiral direction are set in a manner so that the convex section (24a) contacts the inner wall (13a) of an upright-arrangement section (13) from the back end and the contact area gradually increases in the direction of relative rotation when the raised linking section (23) and the upright-arrangement section (13) are linked, and so the raised linking section (23) is drawn to the back end of the upright-arrangement section (13) and is stably held in the upright-arrangement section (13) by means of a reaction force that the convex section (24a) receives from the inner wall (13a). As a result, productivity can be increased as there can be fewer portions requiring high machining accuracy and strict dimensional control. Also, since the convex section (24a) is formed as a portion of the outer wall (24) of the raised linking section (23), the force needed to produce relative rotation is decreased, and properties relating to the task of attaching and the task of detaching are improved.
