Abstract:
A thrust generating device (10) immersed in water and generating thrust by expelling water, comprising: a first water-lubricated bearing (40) disposed so as to face one side surface and the outer peripheral surface of a rotor body (43) and supporting loads in the thrust and radial directions; a second water-lubricated bearing (41) disposed so as to face the other side surface and the outer peripheral surface of the rotor body (43) and supporting loads in the thrust and radial directions; a first water intake opening (37a) open toward the flow path on one side of propeller blades (13b); a second water intake opening (38a) open toward the flow path on the other side of the propeller blades (13b); a first water introducing pipe (37) for guiding water to the second water-lubricated bearing (41), said water being that which flows into the first water intake opening (37a); and a second water introducing pipe (38) for guiding water to the first water-lubricated bearing (40), said water being that which flows into the second water intake opening (38a).
