Abstract:
A plurality of thrust rollers (19) for supporting an inner race (12) and an outer race (14) in a manner permitting relative rotation are provided between the inner race (12) and the outer race (14). A thrust retainer (22) for rotatably retaining the thrust rollers (19) is constituted of a plurality of retainer split bodies (23) which have been split and arranged inside a roller housing space (18). The retainer split bodies (23), on an outer wall face (23C1) of an outside coupling part (23C), are provided with two protruding parts (24, 25) which have a cross-sectional shape of semicircular shape and are spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the outer race (14). When the retainer segments (23) have been displaced towards an inner peripheral face (15B1) of the outer race (14) in association with relative rotation of the inner race (12) and the outer race (14), apical parts (24A, 25A) of each of the protruding parts (24, 25) come into contact against the inner peripheral face (15B1) of the outer race (14).
