Abstract:
A ticket-gate management device according to the present invention includes a communication unit, a storage unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. In the case where the communication unit has received ticket identification information and first determination request information from one of a plurality of automatic ticket gates, the determination unit determines, on the basis of validity information stored in the storage unit, whether or not to permit a user who has presented a ticket to pass through some or all of the plurality of automatic ticket gates. In the case where the communication unit has received ticket identification information and second determination request information from one of the plurality of automatic ticket gates, the control unit sends the ticket identification information and a result of determination by the determination unit as to whether or not to permit passage, relating to exit-station information included in the second determination request information, to the automatic ticket gate at the source of the second determination request information by using the communication unit.
