Abstract:
A tide prevention apparatus has a storage tank connected to an underground pit
and storing a specific amount of water at all times, connection piping for connecting
the underground pit and the storage tank, and a seismic sensing and releasing
device installed in the connection piping, sensing shakes by an earthquake and
releasing the water stored in the storage tank into the underground pit. When
an earthquake occurs, the seismic sensing and releasing device is activated
to allow the water in the storage tank to flow into the underground pit through
the connection piping. This allows a tide prevention plate to be projected upward
from the ground level.
