Abstract:
A tilt device, wherein a tilt table is rotated by a direct drive motor to control the relative angular positions of a tool and a workpiece and wherein the tilt table is rotated at a high speed in order to spin off cut debris from the workpies in a predetermined time period.
While a workpiece (W) is being worked by a tool (T), a drive shaft (12) is rotated by a direct drive motor (25) to control the relative angular positions of the tool (T) and the workpiece (W). Also, the direct drive motor (25) is rotated at a high speed for a predetermined time period with a headstock (4) and a work table (11) separated from each other, and this rotates the drive shaft (12) and in turn rotates a tilt table (17) at a high speed to spin off cut debris from the workpiece.
