Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a stool that can be tilted in any direction using a simple and compact structure. [Solution] This stool is provided with a tilting means (10) close to a floor surface, by which a seat part (1) can be tilted in any direction. The seat part is fixed to the upper end of a gas cylinder (4), and the lower end of the gas cylinder is fixed to a spring presser (11). In the tilting means, a coiled wave spring (13) is sandwiched between the spring presser and a spring holder (12), and the center of the tilting means is fastened by an anchor bolt (16) so as to be tiltable. On the inner side of the coiled wave spring, there are provided: an engagement member (14) which has a conical upper surface and which is attached to the spring holder by a bolt (14c); and an abutting member (15) which has a flat lower surface, which faces an upper section of the engagement member, and which is attached to the spring presser by a bolt (15c). When tilting reaches a certain angle, the engagement member abuts the abutting member, thereby preventing further tilting.
