Abstract:
A tilting pad (2) has a through-hole (11) passing through from an outer peripheral surface (2b) of the tilting pad (2) to an inner peripheral surface (2a), a nozzle (3) passes through the interior of the through-hole (11) of the tilting pad (2), a proximal end part is secured to a bearing housing (5), and a distal end part is configured to face an outer peripheral surface (1a) of a rotating shaft (1). Between the nozzle (3) and the inner surface of the through-hole (11) of the tilting pad (2), a gap (7) is formed whereby contact between the nozzle (3) and the tilting pad (2) is avoided even if the tilting pad (2) shakes. A tilting-pad-type journal bearing is thereby provided in which the amount of oil supplied can be reduced and increases in oil film temperature can be suppressed while a stabilizing function against vibration is maintained.
