Abstract:
A tiltrotor helicopter comprising a body (4), a cockpit (3), a passenger cabin (7), a cargo hold (8), a body tail (12), a vertical fin (10), landing gear (15), wings (18), a turbine worm gear engine (17), and main rotor wings (16). The cross-section of the combination of the helicopter body (4) and the body tail (12) is in the shape of the cross-section of a wing, and the body therefore also creates lift in flight. Additionally, the wings (18) are provided on the hollow flat columns (5) on two sides of the dome-shaped top surface of the body (4), and are of a distance from the body (4). The wings (18) are longer than the wings of existing tiltrotor helicopters of the same size, and the streamline is therefore smoother in flight and the wings more efficient.
