Abstract:
In a time difference measuring apparatus, even if there occurs a difference between two reference signals used for measuring a time difference between two pulse signals that occur with the given time difference therebetween, any error is prevented from occurring in a measurement result. In a time difference measuring apparatus for measuring the time difference between a start signal (M1) and a stop signal (M2), a reference signal generating part (41) generates two reference signals (S1,S2) having a phase difference of &pgr /2 therebetween. An amplitude detecting part (42) detects the amplitude values (A11,A12;A21,A22) of the two reference signals (S1,S2) corresponding to the timings at which the start signal (M1) and stop signal (M2) occur. When a phase difference detecting part (43) calculates the phase Ѳ of a reference signal (S) on the basis of the amplitude sets (A11,A12;A21,A22), a correcting part (46) corrects the calculated phase by use of correction data for correcting the error between the reference signals (S1,S2).
