Abstract:
This time-of-flight mass spectrometer of an orthogonal acceleration type accelerates ions entering an orthogonal acceleration area in a direction orthogonal to the entry direction to send the ions into a flight space, and determines the mass-charge ratio of the ions on the basis of flight time. The time-of-flight mass spectrometer is provided with: an ion transportation electrode (241) that transports the ions to the orthogonal acceleration area; an orthogonal acceleration electrode (242) that orthogonally accelerates the ions entering the orthogonal acceleration area; a flight path regulation electrode that has a flight tube (246); a storage part (41) storing application voltage information which is information about the magnitudes of voltages applied to the orthogonal acceleration electrode, the ion transportation electrode (241), and the flight path regulation electrode, and in which application voltages having magnitudes that vary depending on the ion sending cycle are associated with at least one of the electrodes; and a voltage application part (43) that applies the voltages to the electrodes on the basis of the application voltage information.
