Title:
TIME-OF-FLIGHT MASS SPECTROMETER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/220554
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A transfer electrode portion (240) is configured by coaxially arranging a plurality of electrodes (241A, 241B, 241C) formed in a circular shape. Ions are made to pass through the inside of the plurality of electrodes (241A, 241B, 241C), to each of which a voltage is applied, and led to an orthogonal acceleration region (242C). A flight tube (246) is applied with a voltage having a higher absolute value than the voltage applied to each of the plurality of electrodes (241A, 241B, 241C), and ions accelerated in the orthogonal acceleration region (242C) are introduced into a flight space formed thereinside. A shield portion (241F) is provided between the transfer electrode portion (240) and the flight tube (246) and prevents an electric field derived from the voltage applied to the flight tube (246) from entering into the transfer electrode portion (240).
