Abstract:
A counter unit (30) detects the time interval between input of a start trigger signal and a stop trigger signal in integer multiples of the clock period. BPFs (11, 21) extract the signal components at the clock frequency in the start trigger signal and the stop trigger signal, and phase detection units (13, 23) detect the phase difference between said extracted signals and the clock signal. On the basis of the detection result (N) of the counter unit (30) and the phase differences (φstr, φstp) detected by the phase detection units (13, 23), a calculation unit (40) detects the aforementioned time interval (TINT) with a resolution finer than the clock period.
