Abstract:
Provided are a time-series data diagnostic compression method and a data collection storage device capable of setting a tolerance for time-series data compression without requiring knowledge of an apparatus, preventing loss of data not only at the time of occurrence of an anomaly but also in a period in which a predictor of the anomaly has been detected, and verifying the validity of the tolerance that has been set; thereby reducing the amount of data to be collected and stored without corrupting information necessary for detecting the predictor of the anomaly of the apparatus for which the predictor is to be detected. As a result, it is possible to collect data thereby efficiently. That is to say, the disclosed time-series data diagnostic compression method and data collection storage device provide an anomaly predictor diagnostic unit which does not depend on the apparatus and does not require knowledge thereof so that, on the basis of the results of the anomaly predictor diagnostics which have been implemented for the time-series data collected from the apparatus, tolerance for compression of the collected data are set and managed such that data compression is performed if the diagnostic results are normal and data compression is limited in a period in which an anomaly predictor has been detected, thereby reducing the storage amount of data.
