Abstract:
The present invention relates to wireless network communication technologies, more specifically a time synchronization error compensation method for a PTP-based multi-hop wireless backhaul network. The method comprises: on the basis of a PTP, use an intermediate node to calculate, receive, and send time stamps of a PTP synchronization message (Sync) and a time delay request message (Delay_Req); on the basis of a linear regression technique, detect and compensate for a link delay of a local relay time and an internodal transmission of Sync and Delay_Req; and correct an asymmetric time delay of a wireless link between a master node and a slave node to complete a time synchronization error compensation. The invention makes no change to existing PTPs and uses a header of PTP messages to transmit additional time information such as a compensation time, header sending and arrival times, and a time correction, thereby reducing messaging overheads fulfilling timeliness and accuracy requirements of the time synchronization error compensation, and improving the precision of the time synchronization, making the invention highly practical.
