Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a time synchronization method in a PON system, an OLT, an ONU, and a PON system. The method comprises: an OLT broadcasting time synchronization data to ONUs, the time synchronization data including time count information and time information, the time information being associated with the moment when a local time count of an ONU reaches a count value indicated by the time count information, the ONUs receiving the time synchronization data; when the local time counts of the ONUs reach the count value indicated by the time count information, performing time synchronization according to the time information; wherein the OLT may broadcast time synchronization data to the ONUs by broadcasting a gem port, or broadcasting an LLID, or broadcasting a PLOAM. The PON port of the OLT only needs to broadcast once, and all ONUs under the PON port may receive the time synchronization data, without the need to unicast for each ONU, thereby effectively reducing the load of the single board CPU of the OLT.
