Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a time synchronization system with which it is possible to improve the accuracy of time synchronization when asymmetric delays occur in a transport path. This time synchronization system is provided with a relay device (10) which performs time synchronization with a master device (30) via a transport system having a transport delay that differs depending on the transport direction, and a relay device (20) which performs time synchronization with the relay device (10), wherein: the relay device (20) transmits difference information between first time information obtained by performing time synchronization with the relay device (10) and second time information obtained from a time synchronization source to the relay device (10); and the relay device (10) uses the difference information to correct third time information obtained by performing time synchronization with the master device (30), and uses the corrected third time information to perform time synchronization with a slave device (50).
