Abstract:
Provided by the present invention are a time trusted calibration system used for a traffic monitoring network and a method for operation thereof. The system comprises a trusted time source (10) traceable to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and a dedicated traffic network (20). The method for operation is: introducing UTC time to a network time protocol server within a traffic private network by means of a secure private line from a trusted time source, traceable to UTC, outside the traffic private network, and ensuring that the time in the traffic private network is reliable, trustworthy, and traceable to UTC, and has an uncertainty value; within the traffic private network, a time calibration service and a certificate system communicating with a time calibration measurement terminal, and the time calibration measurement terminal measuring and calibrating the time of a traffic monitoring device joining the network, and returning raw data to a time calibration service and certificate system; the time calibration service and certificate system issuing, in accordance with calibration specifications, an electronic time calibration certificate for each device; a trusted timestamp system ensuring the original measurement data and certificate system in the network to ensure that their contents are tamper-proof and non-repudiated and that the integrity of data content is guaranteed.
