A timekeeping device (100) and system, relating to the technical field of timekeeping. The present timekeeping device (100) comprises: a ship body (101), an upper layer structure (103), a timekeeping assembly (105), a drive assembly (121), a control apparatus and a timekeeping chip. The upper layer structure (103) is provided on the top of the ship body (101). The timekeeping assembly (105) comprises four pinions (115) corresponding respectively to hour tens place numbers (107), hour ones place numbers (109), minute numbers (111), and second numbers (113); a plurality of number display cards; and four cam discs (117) corresponding one to one to the pinions (115). The number display cards are provided on the pinions (115) of the corresponding position. The four pinions (115) are configured to drive rotation of the number display cards relative to the cam discs (117). The cam discs (117) are provided with protrusions. The control apparatus is configured to, under the instruction of the timekeeping chip, control the drive assembly (121) to drive the number display cards to rotate to the positions of the protrusions, at which point the number display cards are erected, thus displaying the current time. The timekeeping device (100) employs the rotation of pinions (115) and uses cam disk (117) protrusions to erect numbers, achieving a dynamic effect.
