Abstract:
Provided is a tire air pressure monitoring system such that the amount of information in signals transmitted/received by a vehicle-mounted radio device and a vehicle-mounted communication device can be reduced and processing delay and degradation of the reliability of air pressure information can be prevented. The tire air pressure monitoring system is provided with: an air pressure acquisition unit for acquiring the air pressure of a tire (3) of a car (C); a vehicle-mounted radio device (2) for transmitting by radio a signal pertaining to the air pressure acquired by the air pressure acquisition unit; and a vehicle-mounted communication device (1) that is located at a different position from the vehicle-mounted radio device (2) and receives a signal transmitted from the vehicle-mounted radio device (2). The vehicle-mounted radio device (2) is provided with: a calculation unit for calculating the amount of a temporal change in the air pressure acquired by the air pressure acquisition unit; and a transmission unit for transmitting a signal indicating the air pressure change amount calculated by the calculation unit.
