Abstract:

The present invention provides a tire casing equipped with a sidewall part, a bead part, a carcass ply, and a belt part, and is vulcanized in advance before a tread member is attached. This tire casing is characterized in that, if the distance from the end of the surface joining to the tread member, along the surface of the sidewall unit, to the end of the bottom surface of the bead part is 1, has a side rubber member (A) that extends a distance of 0.09-0.30 from the end of the surface joining to the tread member along the surface of the sidewall part, and the side rubber member (A) includes 100 parts per mass of one or more types of a rubber component selected from natural rubber, synthetic isoprene rubber, polybutadiene rubber, and styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, and 40-100 parts per mass of carbon black having a nitrogen absorption specific surface area (measured according to N2SA, JIS K 6217-2:2001) of 70-150 m2/g. Thus, a tire casing that improves fuel efficiency, as well as improves resistance to outer damage in the shoulder section of the sidewall part near the road surface can be provided.
