Abstract:
Disclosed is a tire condition detection device capable of detecting the condition of a tire with a high degree of accuracy. A tire condition detection device (10) for detecting the condition of a pneumatic tire (108) affixed to a wheel comprises an vibration input unit (310) that subjects the tire to a prescribed vibration, a frequency information acquisition unit (320) that acquires the frequency information of the tire (108) when subjected to the prescribed vibration, and a tire condition estimation unit (330) that extracts the resonance frequency of the tire (108) from the acquired frequency information and calculates, from the extracted resonance frequency of the tire (108), the spring constant when the tire (108) is modeled by using the outer moment of inertia, the inner moment of inertia, and the spring constant of the elastic force working between the two.
